SuperDraft agreement for Caesars Entertainment

Gambling giant Caesars Entertainment has announced a new partnership with daily fantasy sports platform SuperDraft.

Their investment in the company will allow Caesars to open themselves up to the fantasy sports market, expanding and strengthening their existing position in the mobile sports and gaming spaces.

Just like the World Series of Poker and the Caesars Online Casino, SuperDraft will now become one of Caesars Entertainment’s online brands. With this, they will get to use Caesar’s single wallet system, and will be able to offer their players the Caesar’s reward program.

SuperDraft currently operates in 35 of the 50 states. This will help Caesars cast their net even further. Many states are yet to approach the regulation of sports betting, either online or in retail units, and it is unlikely that we might see shifts in some states any time soon.

However, many of these states do allow fantasy sports contests. This allows Caesars to test out these markets even if their other products cannot be launched there yet.

Steve Wang, CEO of SuperDraft, said: “We’re super excited to be part of Caesars’ powerful gaming ecosystem. SuperDraft is now well-positioned to accelerate its growth with financial staying power while broadening its consumer appeal.”

With a $1m tournament due to start in early February, this should prove to be a good partnership for both brands.
