Sportsbet.io, a cryptocurrency sportsbook operated by Coingaming Group, has signed a shirt sponsorship deal with Premier League side Southampton.
The operator will now become the Saints’ main club partner for the upcoming 2020/2021 season.
Southampton had chosen to prematurely terminate its partnership with LD Sports last month.
Sportsbet.io’s logo will feature on shirts for both the first team and Southampton’s under-23 side.
“Absolutely thrilled”
Sportsbet.io has already had a Premier League presence in the past. At the beginning of last season, it begun a partnership with Watford. However, the Hornets were relegated and will play the 2020/2021 campaign in the Championship.
Coingaming Group CEO Tim Heath had the following to say about Sportsbet.io’s new partnership with the South Coast outfit.

After the Southampton and LD Sports partnership was ended, the club halted shirt sales to enable fans to purchase and receive jerseys with the updated branding.
