SiGMA Europe to take place in April 2021

SiGMA Group has announced that it will postpone SiGMA Europe until April 2021. The popular event was supposed to take place in Malta mid-February but has been postponed in light of recent news regarding the COVID-19 vaccine.

Vaccine approval in the UK

SiGMA Europe will now take place between 13 to 15 April 2021. This event is one that is attended by many industry professionals every year and so the opportunity to host an event where more people could attend is welcomed.

This event has been postponed due to the recent COVID-19 vaccine approval by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency. The vaccine is set to roll out in the UK over the next few weeks. There is hope that with this vaccine, events can start to return to normal over the course of 2021.

A sense of normality

Founder of SiGMA Group, Eman Pulis was positive about the future of this event and is hopeful that it will go ahead in April.

Pulis said: “The early release of the Pfizer BioNTech vaccine makes us hopeful that a sense of normality will now resume within the next four months. Our recent Virtual expo was a huge success, but we hope to now continue building these relationships in person as we launch into what looks set to be a very exciting year.”

It was also noted that UK delegates make up a large group of the attendees at SiGMA Europe each year and this has contributed to the postponement. For now, industry professionals have SiGMA Europe to look forward to in April 2021.
