Raketech to enter US iGaming markets

iGaming performance marketing partner Raketech has acquired the organic affiliation marketing assets American Gambler. This gives the company access to the American markets, with the belief that these US iGaming markets will account for 5-10% of the group’s revenue in Q4.

The agreed purchase price for the deal stands at €5 million (approx. £4.5 million), worked out from the brand’s current revenues and run rate. Alongside this deal comes opportunities for Raketech to strike out into several local state assets.

The US iGaming markets have grown substantially in the past few years. The Supreme Court’s overturning of the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act has caused many of the states to introduce legal and regulated sports betting.

This has also led to many states considering the introduction of online casino gambling in some form. Going has been slow here, as each state has the power to overturn current restrictions or introduce new gambling regulations, but more and more are choosing to address them in some way.

With both legal sports betting and casino gambling on the rise in the States, there will also be plenty of opportunities for affiliates to enter these new markets.

Oskar Mühlbach, CEO of Raketech said: “The acquisition of American Gambler is an important strategic move for us, shifting the US from a strategic target to a strategic market. And by expanding the American Gambler’s service offering to more and more states with the support from our strong core operations team and technology platform, I foresee great opportunities for growth.”
