Racing Post expands into US market with Pickswise

Racing Post has expanded into the US market with its partner, Pickswise. The duo first joined forces at the beginning of 2019 and will now go stateside after Pickswise obtained a New Jersey vendor licence.

Going beyond its core offerings

This expansion into the Garden State is the latest move in Racing Post’s efforts to offer more than horse racing. At this year’s Betting on Football Conference in March, the company also launched Intellr – a new sports betting brand.

As part of its growth strategy, the media conglomerate has invested in a number of affiliate initiatives. These include both manual and automated content to provide information and insight, to sports punters in the US and beyond.

Cian Nugent, Racing Post’s Digital Director, said: “We explored a number of different options for our entry into the US market, but with our experience in engaging bettors with expert tipping content an affiliate play was an obvious first option.

“We’ve already seen the success of that since the start of the NFL season and we’re looking forward to working with our bookmaker partners to maximise the opportunity.”

The partnership between Racing Post and Pickswise has gone from strength-to-strength over the course of this year, especially since the NFL season began in September.

Pickswise’s website will launch in New Jersey this week with a free-to-play, $250,000 first prize fantasy game in association with Incentive Games.

It’s expected that the sports betting tips site will also expand into other US states before long.
