Online casino in West Virginia officially goes live

West Virginia is the fourth US state with a live regulated online casino market after DraftKings launched its related mobile app here.

The operator was already in the state’s sports betting market, thanks to its partnership with Penn National Gaming’s Hollywood Casino

DraftKings chose to take its casino app into West Virginia after a successful debut in New Jersey last month.

Online casino has been part of West Virginian law since March 2019.

A range of unique and classic titles available

Following the launch of the DraftKings online casino in West Virginia, the state now joins New Jersey, Delaware and Pennsylvania in having a live digital market for said vertical.

Through the Boston-headquartered operator’s mobile casino app, players in West Virginia will have access to both exclusive titles and popular classics. Some of the slot games available will include blackjack, keno and roulette.

The operator’s online casino offerings will also remain available in its sportsbook app. Both of these are available on both iOS and Android devices.

DraftKings was also the first operator in New Hampshire’s sports betting market when it launched there in December 2019.

DraftKings also launches mobile casino app in Pennsylvania

DraftKings has also made its casino app available to Pennsylvanian players this week. The offerings are somewhat similar to what is being offered to West Virginians, with a mixture of unique and classic titles available.

Users in the Keystone State will soon have access to the operator’s 24/7 Live Dealer Casino, which is only available in New Jersey at the moment.

Following its Pennsylvania expansion, DraftKings said that it is “prepared to unveil its casino product in additional states where regulations allow”.

The online casino vertical officially became legal in West Virginia last March, via the WV Lottery Interactive Wagering Act

Governor Jim Justice neither signed nor vetoed the bill, meaning that it automatically became law.
