UK bookmaker Betfred has confirmed that it will be launching its operations in Iowa after penning a new agreement with Elite Casino Resorts.
As part of the new deal between the duo, Betfred will be offering technology and operational support to Elite Casino Resorts, allowing for the provision of sports wagering across the state.
Fred Done, the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Betfred, commented on the deal with Elite Casino Resorts, stating: “I’m delighted to partner with Elite Casino Resorts in Iowa and we look forward to working with our new partners and sharing our joint expertise in what is a very exciting opportunity and market for Betfred.”
The agreement is subject to regulatory approval, but is due to pave the way for on premise, online and mobile wagering with a full suite of managed products which includes BI/Analytics, Anti-Fraud, Trading, Compliance/GDPR, Customer Support, Payments and Marketing, as well as managed trading operations support.
Earlier this month, the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission approved Betfred Sports Iowa, LLC as an Out of State Vendor for Grand Falls Casino Resort, LLC.
As it stands, Elite Casino Resorts currently owns and operates three premier gaming and resort destinations in Iowa.It is hoped that the Betfred support will draw upon its online, casino and retail successes in the UK.
