LiveScore adds new leagues to its streaming services

LiveScore Streaming

LiveScore has added new footballing divisions for users to stream from the beginning of the 2020/2021 season.

The sports results website has been able to this through expanding a variety of rights agreements.

Most of next season’s Serie A games will be streamed, as will matches from leagues in Europe and beyond.

Games will be available to LiveScore customers in both the UK and Ireland.

Streaming has been a success so far

LiveScore launched its free-to-air streaming service back in June, as European leagues were getting ready to resume. Since then, over 500,000 unique visitors have been attracted.

The peak audience so far has been 125,000, which took place during AC Milan’s 4-2 win over Juventus last month. Next season, 80% of Serie A games will be available to stream through the service.

In addition to Italy’s top division, games from the Dutch Eredivisie and English Premier League will also be streamed. Moreover, fans will be able to watch matches from the Chinese Super League.

LiveScore Marketing Director Ric Leask had the following to say.

“After a fantastic start for our new LiveScore free-to-air live streaming service, we’re excited that our offering is set to get bigger and better for the new 2020-21 season.

“As well as returning to the hugely popular leagues in Italy and Portugal, by unveiling a number of new competitions we are continuing to innovate and offer our UK and Ireland audience the most immersive sports coverage possible.

“This is an important next step for LiveScore as we continue to expand our digital content offering. In addition to the live streaming options for our UK and Ireland audience, global LiveScore users can expect to enjoy a range of on-demand content from across the football world including through our partnership with LaLiga Santander. We’re excited to kick-off the 2020/21 season!”

A broad range of footballing competitions

Alongside the already-mentioned leagues, the Portuguese Primera will also be streamed using the LiveScore service. Various Europa League and Champions League qualifiers are also to be made available, along with the Coupe De France.

Further afield, the CONCACAF 2022 World Cup will be streamed and so will the Copa Libertadores and Sudamericana.
