The inaugural Greek Bookmaker Awards, held by Better Collective and its Greek flagship product Betarades.gr, took place in Athens last night. Stoiximan was the biggest success story, racking up no fewer than seven awards.
An impressive night for Stoiximan
The Greek sportsbook came out on top in Best Sports Betting Bookmaker Greece, along with the players’ choice version of this category. Stoiximan came out on top for Best Social Media Engagement too, while also receiving awards for its banking solutions and user experience. And to put the proverbial icing on the cake, the operator also won Best Marketing Solution and Best Innovation in Sports Betting Experience.
Who else picked up awards?
International operator bet365 was named winner in Best Welcome Offers. Meanwhile, Betrebels picked up the Best Basketball Odds trophy and Bwin came out on top for Best Existing Customer Offers. Goalbet also won an award – Best Customer Service.
All of the winners were determined by data, with the exception of two categories – Best Sports Betting Bookmaker Greece (Players’ Choice) and Best Innovation in Sports Betting Experience. This was collected between September 2019 and December 2019. All regulated Greek bookmakers were automatically eligible for the awards.
The players’ choice edition of the best sportsbook category was voted for by players on Betarades.gr. For Best Innovation in Sports Betting Experience, operators needed to have a written nomination.
A successful inaugural event
Shona O’Donnell, Head of Strategic Events at Better Collective, commented on the first-ever Greek Bookmaker Awards. She expressed her delight at how the event was received within Greek iGaming and among players here. Afterwards, O’Donnell continued by saying:
