New Hampshire Lottery expands betting offerings with virtual NASCAR

The New Hampshire Lottery has introduced virtual NASCAR racing to its betting portfolio, in the absence of real-life sports.

eNASCAR includes online drivers racing in simulated cars, on computer-generated tracks and for digitally-created events.

The next scheduled virtual NASCAR race will take place on Tuesday, 28th April.

“An exciting new opportunity”

Launched in 2018, eNASCAR is partnered with Coca-Cola. The virtual racing series comprises forty simulated racers and a schedule of 20 races.

Next Tuesday’s event, which is round six of the Coca-Cola iRacing Series, will take place at the virtual Dover International Speedway.

New Hampshire Lottery Executive Director Charlie McIntyre shared his excitement about the integration of this new product. His thoughts were as follows.

“The New Hampshire Lottery is constantly looking for ways to engage our players and to attract new audiences. eNASCAR represents a strategic addition to our sports betting portfolio.

“This new sporting event offers an exciting new opportunity for our players to experience the thrill of winning.”

The New kid on the block

New Hampshire approved iGaming regulation last year.

The market went live on 30th December 2019, when DraftKings expanded here.

Since then, the Granite State – which has a population of 1.36 million – has processed over one million sports bets.

Over 36,923 players have created iGaming accounts, betting more than $28.6 million in total.

Other virtual sports coming into play

Tennis is another sport to have been adopted virtually by operators, after ATP launched a virtual offering in partnership with IMG ARENA.

The product, titled ATP 1000 Virtual Tennis, started its rollout to sportsbooks this month.

At the time, ATP CEO Mark Webster referred to the launch as “a landmark agreement”.
