MyAffiliates General Manager scoops leading female award

MyAffiliates General Manager, Clemence Dujardin has been recognised as Malta’s Best Gaming Woman Leader of the Year in the Malta iGaming Excellence Awards 2018.

The Awards were presented last week by MBR Publications Limited under the auspices of the President of Malta and are a yearly recognition “for setting organisational standard for excellence and outstanding achievement”.

Speaking after receiving the award, she outlined: “I am proud of this achievement. But more importantly I am proud of my team, employees and management of MyAffiliates that have made this journey fun and valuable to us and to our clients. We aim for excellence every day and it is humbling for the industry to recognise that we have consistently achieved this.”

Dujardin has had a leading role in My Affiliates for six years and has led its transformation into a leading player in the industry. She has led the business to pursue her vision of MyAffiliates as the undisputed market leader in its sector. This while remaining consistent with My Affiliates’ original ambition to provide each customer with the same quality of human, personal and approachable service as if they were the only ones.

When asked what it has taken to build a career in the industry, Dujardin told Affiverse : “Entering the Igaming space as a women requires  drive ,determination and clear set goals. Any woman working in this industry knows how it is still so male dominated and how women are still under-represented in the industry.

“The under representation is not the only challenge. One must not forget , that the igaming industry still uses largely the objectification of women to promote itself. This can be seen through all the industry conferences’ organized around the world where engaging female model to attract business is still largely used – therefore very often undermining the image of the number of successful women that today are leaders in the industry.”

Giving advice to those looking to break into the industry, she added: “New people coming into the business, be it in the operator business, the affiliate business or in the technology provider side of things need to keep focus on what their main goals are.

“This industry is a very fast moving one, and it is very easy to get distracted or carried away. Set yourself achievable targets, review them periodically and believe in yourself, the business you work for and the Team that surrounds you.”
