Lottoland win-win charity lotto

Lottoland introduces first UK charity lottery game

Online lottery operator Lottoland has announced the launch of its first charity lottery game for players based in the UK.

Titled Win-Win Charity Lotto, 20p for every £1 spent on this game will be donated to four charities within the country.

The four charities are The British Red Cross, Hospice UK, Keep Britain Tidy and The Marine Conservation Society

Draws for Win-Win Charity Lotto will take place three times per week.

A broad audience for the chosen charities

The game format and results are both to be based on the French Lotto. Respective weekly draw days will be Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

From a total of 49 balls, five will be drawn. Meanwhile, an additional 10 bonus balls will feature.

Lottoland Chief Executive Nigel Birrell shared his thoughts on the launch of Win-Win Charity Lotto. These were as follows.

“We are delighted to be able to launch our charity lotto betting game here in the UK and are delighted to have these four fantastic charities on board, all of whom support amazing causes.

“The whole team at Lottoland are excited to see the launch of the Win-Win Charity Lotto, it’s something we’ve been working on for some time and absolutely feels like the right step for the business.

“We believe we’ve found a good balance, as the respective charities will all appeal to a different audience and yet are all equally, immeasurably important in what they do.”

The ideal time to launch

All wagers on the Win-Win Charity Lotto will be priced at £1, with the jackpot fixed at £250,000 for all draws.

According to Marine Conservation Society Director of Fundraising and Marketing Mike Crossley, the launch of this game comes at a time when support is needed for all charities.

He said the following.

“At what is such a challenging time for charities across every sector, it’s fantastic to have the support of Lottoland.

“The money raised by players of Lottoland will be immensely valuable to our ongoing work fighting for our ocean, working towards a cleaner, better-protected, healthier future where both nature and people thrive.”

Lottoland has also expanded into other verticals this year, having launched a sportsbook back in January.
