Instagram makes personalised Stories content available via Explore

Instagram is set to make it much easier for affiliates to promote their brands and products after announcing that Instagram Stories will now be made available on the app’s Explore tab.
The social media platform, which has just made its Shoppable feature available to users, will allow those using the app to discover content based on their prior activity. The news comes as Stories has grown in popularity as a way for users to post content and for affiliates to promote brands.
Instagram announced in a blog post: “Stories is an important way for people to connect with their interests on the platform, and over 500 million people use Instagram Stories every day. To help people experience the full breadth of interest content on Instagram, the redesigned Explore grid will now feature Stories.
“In the same way that Explore recommends posts based on topics you’re interested in, the grid will now provide you with personalised Stories recommendations.
“Today’s launch marks an important step forward for Explore, which is used by more than 50% of accounts on Instagram every month.”
Along the addition of Instagram Stories, the social media giant is also introducing a new navigation bar to the top of the Explore page as well as tabs for IGTV and Shoppable. Each tab is catered to a user’s interests, the company said.
Influencer marketing has become one of the most talked about digital mediums in the course of the past year, with many influencers using Instagram as their platform of choice. It’s by far becoming one of the most popular ways of marketing brands and products online.
With the introduction of the new Stories on Explore, as well as the new Shoppable feature, we could find ourselves doing business using our social media channels rather than via the traditional desktop sites or apps.
