Influencer Jake Paul launches real money offerings from Betr in Ohio

The (proudly) controversial influencer Jake Paul is now taking real-money deposits on his start-up microbetting business, Betr. The startup was launched in August 2022 alongside SimpleBet founder and CEO Joey Levy, and is now licenced to accept real-money deposits in Ohio.

Soon after, in September, a mobile app option was released. The point of the app is to make betting as simple as possible with a slimmed down UI and presenting the bet as a multiple choice question and displaying odds as payout multiples.

And now, Betr has entered the Ohio iGaming market through a 10-year market access agreement with Hall of Fame Resort and Entertainment Company. However, there are plans to expand into other states down the road.

While reasons for cancellation have fallen lately in the conversation around Jake Paul, his “edgy” bad boy image keeps him going, in the boxing world and now in the iGaming world.

Co-founder Joey Levy said: “This launch marks the beginning of our gradual, methodical approach to state-by-state expansion where we will take the time necessary to discover and validate product-market fit of our highly differentiated product experience to ensure we scale in a profitable manner.

“This launch also sets a US online sports betting record for the fastest launch from company founding to a fully licensed and regulated real money betting product, speaking to the capabilities of the Betr team to execute quickly and efficiently.”
