How to boost affiliate sign-ups in 2021

As an affiliate manager, it might be one of your 2021 goals to get more affiliate sign-ups. Many people think that getting affiliates to sign up is easy, but this is not actually the case. The truth is that there are so many affiliate programs out there and you need to show potential affiliates why they should choose to work with you. It is all about optimising your program and providing relevant and interesting content. Read on for some of our tips for boosting sign-ups this year.

Work on your UX

If a potential affiliate were to visit your site, would they easily find the information that they need? You need to consider the user journey and ensure that your UX is fit for purpose. Affiliates are busy and don’t have time to waste clicking around websites trying to find out more about a program.

Easy navigation should be one of your main priorities, even though this might not sound very important. Explore your site with the mindset of an affiliate – would you continue browsing? If the answer is no, you need to make some changes in 2021.

Create relevant content

We’ve touched on the importance of relevant content before, but this is something that we need to reiterate to affiliate managers. If you aren’t providing affiliates with relevant and up to date content, they aren’t going to stick around for very long. Affiliates need the basics including the deal, the sites within the program and how it is managed but that’s not all.

They need to know more about your company. Who are you? Who have you worked with? What can you offer them? If your content doesn’t answer these questions, you need to update it. The clearer you are, the easier it will be to drive sign-ups.

What makes you stand out?

Affiliates aren’t just going to sign up for every program that they come across, so you need to make sure that you are showing off what makes your program unique. This is one of the most effective methods for boosting sign-ups and it is something that you should try in 2021.

Think about your program – do you offer tailored rev share deals? Do you provide marketing materials or something unique? Find your USP and showcase it! You need to stand out in a crowded industry and ensure that any iGaming affiliates come straight to you.

Give them advice from the get-go

In iGaming, affiliates benefit from effective affiliate management and advice when they need it. You need to show that you are an affiliate manager who is willing to communicate effectively and build a relationship from the get-go. One of the best ways to achieve this is to offer advice from the moment they sign up. Provide downloadable content, set up calls and generally on-board them in the right way.

The more support you offer in the beginning, the more likely they will be to sign up and stick around. Don’t forget to let them know about the downloadable content before they sign up!
