Fox Bet becomes official partner of Major League Baseball

The sports betting joint venture between The Stars Group, Fox Sports and Fox Bet has been named an authorised gaming partner of Major League Baseball (MLS) in the US.

This will see Fox Bet have the right to be able to use the league’s official data feed, along with trademarks for both its real-money wagering app and free-to-play product Fox Sports Super 6.

The pair will also be seen to be collaborating on developing responsible gaming controls to protect players, while also developing best-in-class practices to uphold the integrity of MLB games.

The league’s executive Vice President of gaming and new business Kenny Gersh has said that the agreement will ensure fans have a choice of partners in the market. It has already signed up the likes of DraftKings, FanDuel and MGM Resorts as authorized partners.

The Stars Group will be able to use the league’s data and statistics to develop  “unique and engaging” gaming products based around baseball, Gersh added.

This deal has further strengthend Fox Bet’s presence in the US market. It has already come to launch in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and continues to claim that the Fox Sports Super 6 game – which is available nationwide – was downloaded more than 280,000 times in the first ten days after its launch.

Fox Bet chief executive Robin Chhabra said: “We continue to see a great appetite for the FOX Bet app as well as FOX Sports Super 6.

“Having a partnership with MLB enables us to use official MLB data and league marks, providing a better experience for our customers and comes just in time as the League Championship Series and the World Series kick into high gear.”
