Dignitas and Vie.gg join forces for new three year partnership

Dignitas have penned their first big partnership with a top-tier organisation since January as they have come together with Vie.gg.

Dignitas field seven of Esports‘ largest and most popular games, as they are seen as one of the most recognisable brands in the professional gaming industry. Formed in September 2003, with the merger of two Battlefield 1942 teams. In September 2016, Dignitas was officially acquired by the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Vie.gg offers bet exchange style wagering on Esports events in a licensed, regulated and secured platform to the global esports audience, excluding jurisdictions that prohibit online gambling. With the platform featuring wagers on most of the top esports titles.

During the three-year arrangement, Vie.gg will be providing safe and transparent P2P esports betting to a variety of different Dignitas fans. Different to other traditional betting platforms, Vie offer a much mire player-friendly exchange model, as bettors are able to compete against each other, within a bet exchange, so the player always wins.

Dignitas CEO Michael Prindiville said in a statement: “Vie.gg offer a premier destination for our fans to engage with the games they love in ways that play upon a competitive spirit that is decidedly Dignitas in nature.

“The partnership with Esports Entertainment Group and Vie.gg is extremely natural; we are connected in our shared dedication to developing and amplifying the gaming space in this period of rapid and inspiring growth, and as it blends naturally with entertainment, music, lifestyle, and more.”

Grant Johnson, CEO of Esports Entertainment Group added: ““I am very proud of this new partnership with HBSE and their Dignitas esports brand, which is founded in our shared common beliefs of player safety above all else.

“I look forward to sharing our incredible product with Dignitas’ highly engaged fan base over the next three years and beyond. A partnership of this caliber is a significant milestone for our shareholders and tremendous validation of both our P2P esports wagering model and future plans within the esports world.”

Dignitas currently flaunt top teams in several major Esports scenes including, Rocket League, SMITE, Clash Royale, Apex Legends, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and others. The representatives of the latter remain one of the best female teams in the entirety of esports as well as the reigning champions of Intel Challenge Katowice 2019 — a de facto World Championship in female Counter-Strike.

Grant Johnson said in a statement: A NASDAQ listing, if successful, would broaden our access to a larger and international group of investors as we seek to become a truly global company.”
