CasinoBeats to join Yggdrasil and Casinogrounds for ICE streaming tournament

CasinoBeats will join forces with Yggdrasil and Casinogrounds for the Yggdrasil Slot Battle 2020. This first-of-its-kind streaming event will be held at ICE London next week.

To make up this event, three teams will be set up. Each of these will consist of both an operator and streamer. Contestants will battle to achieve the highest single coin in Temple Stacks, Yggdrasil’s recently-released Splitz mechanic game.

Extra entertainment at CasinoBeats’ networking drinks

The event will take place at CasinoBeats’ official networking drinks, which are scheduled for  5th February 2020. The party will begin at 17:00, running through until 22:00.

Rasmus Sojmark, CEO and Founder of SBC, shared his thoughts after the collaboration was announced. He said the following.

“We are thrilled to have a company of Yggdrasil’s calibre sponsor our official networking drinks. We look forward to welcoming industry stakeholders to witness this unique tournament and join us for an action-packed evening of entertainment.”

Sojmark continued: “Over the last year, we have seen operators develop a closer relationship with streamers to evolve the ways they reach and engage players and this will be an excellent way to highlight this rapidly growing marketing opportunity that I’m sure we will see more of in 2020.”

Fighting for the prize

LetsGiveItASpin, Nickslots and Slotspinner, three well-known CasinoGrounds streamers, will lock horns for the main prize. They’ll be joined by Rizk, Dunder and Casino Calzone – each of which are operator partners of Yggdrasil.

Yggdrasil will award whichever operator accomplishes the highest single coin win a sponsored campaign, valued at €10,000. For the hour-long contest, players will also enjoy a cash drop of €9,000.

Other key figures

Fredrik Elmqvist, CEO of Yggdrasil, will moderate next week’s competition. When speaking about the Slot Battle, he said the below.

“We are increasingly using streamers and work closely with the streaming community as they significantly help raise awareness of our games as well as drive traffic to our operator partners’ sites.

“We are excited to showcase this collaboration by hosting this fun competition together with CasinoBeats and couldn’t think of a better place to do so than at ICE, the biggest industry event of the year.”

The event is expected to attract 300 key stakeholders from across the online gambling industry.

Tobias Svensen, CEO of CasinoGrounds, is proud of the company’s rise since it was formed around four years ago. His words were:

“From its inception in 2016, CasinoGrounds has grown from a small forum of online casino streamers to become the number-one casino community in the world.

“Online casino streaming will only continue to grow as it offers a fun and fresh way for game studios and operators to promote their games. We are excited to show industry representatives how it can add something extra to the online gambling experience with this tournament.”
