Caesars launches Ohio sportsbook

Caesars Entertainment has confirmed that it has launched its online sportsbook service in the Ohio, ahead of the state’s planned opening of a regulated betting market in January of next year.

The news comes after Caesars has made several strategic moves in the state in recent years, launching a horseracing betting app in the summer and signing a sportsbook partnership with the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers back in February.

The Ohio Senate passed Senate Bill 176, which paved the way for legal sports betting on both professional and college sports in the state, in June 2021.

Caesars is looking to be ready to go when the market officially opens on 1st January 2023, with the app already open for pre-registration. Players can open an account and begin depositing funds, with an early registration bonus of $100 in betting credits on offer to users depositing $20 or more.

The Caesars Rewards program is also set to be integrated with the app, offering users the chance to access unique benefits and rewards.

“Ohio’s rich tradition of sports excellence speaks for itself. Caesars Sportsbook is ready to match the pedigree and passion of Ohio sports fans with a sports wagering experience that treats them like royalty,” said Caesars Digital President Eric Hession.
