BonusFinder awarded Tennessee affiliate licence

iGaming affiliate site BonusFinder has been granted a licence to offer its services to players in the soon-to-launch Tennessee market.

The Volunteer State is the sixth US jurisdiction that the website is now permitted to operate within.

Tennessee passed sports betting legislation into law last year, with the market set to launch later in the coming months.

Once the market goes live, players will be able to bet on their favourite events digitally.

Sticking to a key objective

In addition to Tennessee, BonusFinder is also able to operate in West Virginia, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Colorado and Indiana.

BonusFinder Managing Director Fintan Costello spoke about being awarded a permit in the Tennesseean market. His thoughts were as follows.

“Expanding in the rapidly growing US market is a key focus for us this year and we are thrilled to have been granted this licence in Tennessee.

“The US offers huge potential as more and more states legalise online betting and gaming and our aim is to operate in every regulated state and to offer players the best bonuses and legit sportsbook reviews for sites they can trust. We are excited about the market opening in Tennessee this year and we look forward to partnering with local licensees.”

Sports betting in Tennessee

Sports betting entered Tennesseean law during the spring of 2019. Since the state has no casinos, the vertical will only be permitted online.

There is no limit on the number of operators that will be allowed to hold a licence within state borders. A handful of sportsbooks have, according to the media, already submitted their applications.

Sports betting licences cost $750,000 per year to obtain. Meanwhile, gross gaming revenue (GGR) will be subjected to a tax rate of 20%.

Players in Tennessee will need to be aged 21 or above before they are allowed to legally bet on sporting events.
