AskGamblers raises over €66,000 for charity

The iGaming industry banded together for a good cause night, raising €66,900 at the AskGamblers Charity Night.

Over 100 figures from the industry gathered at Belgrade’s Hotel Metropol Palace for Thursday’s auction. Numerous major casinos took part, with a top three position on the AskGamblers website the prize.

Giving back to the community

The raised funds will be donated to Norbs and Zvoncica, two national charities in Serbia that are dedicated to fighting childhood cancer.

AskGamblers’ industry partners were invited to the event, including Affiverse. For the second successive years, we’re delighted to be an official media partner for tonight’s awards ceremony.

CEO and Co-Founder Lee-Ann Johnstone was at the charity event last night. She had the following to say.

“As operators and affiliates come together and celebrate each other’s recent achievements, it’s also important to contribute to charitable initiatives where possible.

“I’m proud that the industry dug deep last night and raised an astonishing sum for great causes. Now we move on to the main event tonight, which promises to be just as exciting!”

Year-on-year improvement

The amount raised last night eclipses the €49,000 raised during last year’s auction. The money from that event was used to install equipment for children with disabilities in Belgrade.

AskGamblers expressed their delight at another successful initiative. Product Owner Denis Ristic said: “We are extremely happy for having the opportunity to raise funds and provide support through financial assistance and give a little bit of hope to those who need it the most.

“By doing something challenging and meaningful, such as this charity event, we really hope to make a difference in the lives of children who, together with their families, fight cancer.”

Charity month

A selection of affiliates that took part in the event will enjoy higher exposure on the AskGamblers website. This will be for the duration of June 2020, which is also the brand’s designated charity month.

The top affiliates were split into three for each market: Finland & Norway, the UK, Germany and RoW (Rest of the World). You can find each of these lists here.

During charity month, partners who bid during last night’s auctions will also benefit from additional PR coverage.

Don’t forget – if you’re not attending tonight’s event, you can tune in live online!
