AskGamblers Awards 2020: Best New Slot and Best New Casino

The AskGamblers Awards are special for one main reason – the players get to choose the winner. And that’s especially the case with the Best New Slot category. In this final round-up of the ceremony’s finalists, that’s where we’re going to start.

Best New Slot

Powered by BGaming and providing three reels with one payline, Mechanical Orange Slot is the first name on this year’s list of 10 nominees. In particular, players are fond of the three reels layout while the graphics also received positive reviews. Meanwhile, NetEnt will be hoping to be victorious in this category along with the Best Software Provider list. They’ve made it into Best New Slot via Dead or Alive 2. The bonus rounds were said to keep players on their toes, while one reviewer also referred to the game as “spectacular”.

You can probably gather by now that this year’s nominations have placed a big emphasis on adventure. That’s the case with Red Tiger Gaming’s Pirates’ Plenty slot, plus The Sword and Grail by Playn’ Go and Book of Oz by Microgaming. One reviewer praised Book of Oz for allowing players to try the game with minimal risk. Meanwhile, The Sword and Grail was described by an AskGamblers member as “possibly” their favourite-ever game.

Western movie lovers expressed a similar affection for Gold Canyon, developed by Betsoft. Completing the list is Pragmatic Play’s The Dog House, Razor Shark by Push Gaming, Solar Queen by Playson and Cleopatra’s Diary by Fugaso.

Best New Casino

Every year, new businesses emerge that take the iGaming industry by storm. 2019 was no different and some big names are included for this year’s AskGamblers Awards.

We’ve looked at Sportsbet.io in a previous blog post. But they’re in prestigious company, including the likes of 21.com and Wazamba Casino. The latter of these described themselves as “perfectionists”, while 21.com “fights” to keep players engaged.

BaoCasino and Maneki Casino are both up for the top award too. You “can’t be on top with a poor idea” according to Maneki, and it practices what it preaches with a unique theme. BaoCasino has adopted these values, too, and makes the list thanks to its “mobile-first approach” among other things.

Wishmaker‘s desire to provide “something exciting” has paid off as it also has a chance of finishing top in this category. Meanwhile, SlotWolf Casino‘s diverse team of “authors, computer scientists” and more has led to its inclusion.

Completing the 10 nominees is Syndicate Casino, Spinia Casino and MonteCryptos Casino. Ahead of the AskGamblers Awards, Syndicate Casino mentioned how they focus on listening to player complaints along with being innovative. Meanwhile, MonteCrypto’s decision to “run away from the regular casino layout” was a well-calculated risk.

The AskGamblers Awards take place on 17th January in Belgrade, Serbia. Even if you can’t make the event, fear not – AskGamblers will be streaming it live
