Online sports content publisher Covers Media Group will now expand into Indiana after receiving approval from the state’s authorities.
Its newly-acquired IGC licence allows Covers to partner with regulated sportsbooks and online gambling operators within this particular jurisdiction. This allows the website to build further affiliate relationships involving revenue share and fees, for referred customers to partnered operators.
Mark Harper, General Manager of Covers Media Group and Nova Scotia Sports Media Pros, said: “This is in line with our commitment to work with our sportsbook operator partners in those legislated states.
“On the back of the news that we are approved to operate the Covers sports betting products in Indiana, we are set to complete several partnerships with in-state operators.”
Sports betting in Indiana
Indiana is one of the newest US states to regulate sports betting, with its market having officially gone live at the beginning of September.
Since becoming legal here, sports betting handle has risen dramatically. In October it rose by 160% to $91.7 million. Much of this was due to the successful introduction of mobile wagering.
